Prior visas must be arranged and cannot be obtained at the border. Private cars and tour buses cannot cross – travelers must change vehicles upon crossing or use the other two border crossings. Visitors with a valid passport may obtain a visa at any Jordanian embassy, consulate, or legation abroad. You can also obtain a visa upon arrival at Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport or at any other border crossing (except Allenby Bridge) and the ferryboat from Egypt. Visa fees are 20 JDs ($30) for single entry valid for two weeks but easily extended at the nearest police station, or 60 JDs ($85) for multiple entries, valid for six months and non-extendable, to be paid in local currency. Few formalities need to be observed when departing Jordan: A departure tax of 8 JDs ($13) is paid at any border crossings except the airports. Crossing the border at the terminal requires a valid passport with an expiration date at least six months after the departure date and all required documents for exiting: Entry visa to Jordan clearly stating that the crossing is through the Allenby Border Terminal. Israeli citizens are required to present an entry visa to Jordan. Other travellers, as required. Additionally, we offer airport transfer services to ensure a smooth and comfortable journey to and from the airport, making your travel even easier.

The Allenby Bridge, 57km away from Amman 53km away from Jerusalem is located in the southern Jordan Valley and is open Sun-Thurs 08:00 hrs – 20:00 hrs for arrivals and 8:00 to 14:00 for departures, and Fri-Sat 08:00 hrs – 13:00 hrs. Sheikh Hussein crossing /North Border is 90km away from Amman. It is located in the north, close to Lake Tiberias (Sea of Galilee), these are open Sunday – Thursday: 08:00hrs – 22:00hrs and Friday – Saturday: 09:00hrs – 20:00hrs.

Sheikh Hussein crossing (North Border) is located near the Sea of Galilee, 90km from Amman, and is better for travelers heading to/from northern Israel or Amman’s northern route. No. Jordan visas cannot be obtained at Allenby Bridge. You must arrange your visa in advance through a Jordanian embassy, consulate, or online. However, Jordan visas are available on arrival at Sheikh Hussein (North Border) and at Queen Alia International Airport. Visa fees are not included in our VIP service price.
